Cloudwater Brew Co has gone through the necessary testing to verify that two of its beers, lager Helles and pale ale SoCal, are gluten free.

Founder and managing director, Paul Jones, said: “In an effort to make our beers accessible to as many people as possible, we have only ever brewed vegan beer, so we are thrilled to be able to transition two of our core range beers to gluten-free labels as soon as we practically can.”
While they are now verified as gluten free, this hasn’t necessitated any changes or alterations to the recipes of the beers, and they continue to deliver the same quality and flavours.
Paul added: “Several members of our team and close family members navigate allergens and intolerances as part of their daily struggles to eat and drink well without compromising their health or pursuit of joy.
“It’s a thrill to know that people seeking gluten-free beers will be able to choose two entirely uncompromising products now that we have undertaken this testing and verification process.”
As part of the verification process, Cloudwater used an external chemistry lab — at Murphy & Son — to ensure that the beers were below the globally accepted threshold of 20ppm for gluten-free labelling.
