Ossett Brewing Co, in West Yorkshire, is launching two new beers, celebrating Cask Ale Week, and also the spirit of collaboration.

Ossett Quin Unclear

Quintessential is a 4.6% ABV premium pale, launching as this year’s Cask Ale Week gets under way.

Golden and full-bodied, it is made from a complex grist of pale, wheat, and Cara malts. Moderate bitterness is balanced by flavours of fresh bread, honey, and caramel, derived from the malts.

Generous hopping, at different stages of the boil, with Citra from the USA and Most from the Czech Republic, results in aromas of citrus and tropical fruits, melon, and strawberry.

It’s All So Unclear (5.3% ABV) is art of Ossett’s Collaboration Series and has been made with Lakes Brew Co, of Cumbria. The soft and hazy IPA is full bodied, creamy, and low in bitterness.

Mosaic and Citra hops, from the USA, are steeped in the hopback, yielding citrus and tropical flavours, before a generous dry-hopping with Amarillo (USA), Nelson Sauvin (New Zealand), and Vic Secret (Australia) creates additional layers of aroma and complexity.

Served completely unfined, the beer is naturally hazy and suitable for vegans.
