To celebrate the 2022 harvest, the city of Hereford is staging its first annual Hereford AppleFest, from 1st-15th October.

Hereford Apple Fest

Local businesses, councils, cider producers, and community groups are banding together to provide an array of entertainment. This will include live music, children’s activities, giveaways, themed trails, guest speakers, visits with local artisan cider and apple juice producers, virtual reality experiences, plus feasts and tastings.

Bookended by activities for all ages in High Town on 1st October and at the Museum of Cider on 15th October, the festival will see fringe events in the city and throughout the county.

The 8th and 9th October sees the internationally-renowned Big Apple Harvestime festival taking place in nearby Much Marcle, coupled with the inaugural Hereford AppleFest Banquet on Saturday 8 October, to be held amid the splendour of Hereford’s historic Town Hall.

Herefordshire has more than 15,000 acres of orchards producing 150,000 tonnes of apples and pears each year, alongside dozens of cider makers small and large dotted around the county.
