Moor Beer Company has announced three new limited edition beers — a table beer, a mountain IPA, and a barley wine — being released at the end of this month.

Moor August specials

Little Love is Moor’s lowest ever ABV beer, coming in at 3.5% ABV. The table pale features Azacca hops, which bring fleshy fruit flavours to the fore. It is available in cask, keg, and cans.

Among the myriad IPA styles is mountain IPA. Think of it as a halfway ooint between the East Coast and West Coast styles. There’s a Tyrannosaurus Rex on the can of Hear Me Roar (6% ABV), but the brewer adds: “It’s also a massive roar out to all the awesome women inspiring our lives in every way imaginable.”

“Our final beer releasing this month is a long time in the making,” says the brewer, “a barley wine aged for two years in oak barrels at our Bermondsey vault.”

The long maturation has allowed Extra Oak Barley Wine (10% ABV) to really develop, round, and acquire a tannic hit of oak to balance out the weight of the beer. It’s also the first in a series from the vault to be hand bottled.

The brewer adds: “No one wants a dusty can, but a dusty bottle seems to have a bit of mystery to it, so grab some bottles while you can — some to enjoy now and some to age further.”

Next month, Moor is promising some very seasonally focused celebration beers and the return of a fan favourite.
