Curious Brewery is enjoying strong sales growth following the launch of its new Pilsner, as well as building significant on-trade listings for its range. Its Session IPA is now stocked in all 164 café bar venues operated by the Loungers group.

Curious IPA

Loungers is serving chilled Curious Session IPA in 330ml bottles. Neil Webb, drinks operations manager at Loungers, said: “IPA is a hugely popular style among craft beer drinkers, and with so much choice out there, it’s important that we serve brands that offer a genuine point of difference.

“As a distinctive, British craft beer, Curious IPA is a great fit with Loungers, as well as delivering on the all-important flavour and refreshment our customers expect.”

Loungers joins other hospitality businesses, including Coppa Club restaurants and bars, which stock both Curious Session IPA in keg and Curious Apple in bottles. Italian casual dining brand Prezzo stocks Curious Apple in bottles, while expanding Indian street food brand Mowgli has Curious Session IPA and Curious Apple in bottles.

English National Opera is also singing the praises of Curious Brewery, following an agreement to serve the original Curious Lager Brew, along with Curious Session IPA and Curious Apple, in the bars at its home in the London Coliseum in Covent Garden.

Nick Gatehouse, managing director of Curious Brewery, said: “We’re delighted to see our IPA going into Loungers, and to be working with such a prestigious and varied range of on-trade operators to bring the distinctive Curious Brewery range to their customers.

“We’re seeing strong growth for our three established core brands, as well a great initial response from the trade to Curious Pilsner, launched earlier this year. At 4% ABV and traditionally lagered at low temperature for six weeks, it offers on-trade operators a premium quality, authentic British lager at a very accessible ABV.”
