Verdant Brewing Co has unveiled two new collaborations, with Irish brewers Whiplash and Yorkshire’s Friends of Ham.
The Whiplash collaboration is Courtship Spectacle, a 7.2% ABV IPA hopped with Citra, Motueka, Simcoe, and Colombus. It’s described as an elevated IPA with a chunky dry hop. Expect zippy citrus, tropics, and pine with a whack of dank resin.
Friends of Ham collaborated on Layers Upon Layers, a 6.5% ABV IPA, hopped with Amarillo, Bru-1, Waimea, and Ekuanot. Expect a heady mix of citrus and tropical fruits supplied via some lesser used but wonderfully punchy hop varietals.
Verdant said: “A few weeks ago, we had the pleasure to welcome our Irish friends from Whiplash as well as our Northerner pals from Friends of Ham. Three days spent all together, designing recipes and brewing IPAs, swimming at Gylly Beach, and pub crawling in Falmouth, sharing plates at the Seafood Bar, and quizzing at the Taproom.
“It simply reminded us why we love collaborating so much. Because it’s not just about the beers, it’s mostly about the connections created with the people in this beautiful industry.”
