BrewDog’s James Watt has recorded a podcast with Dragon’s Den entrepreneur Steven Bartlett addressing the toxic culture allegations of the past couple of years.
After a string of allegations rocked the company, ranging from personal impropriety to financial misconduct and marketing scams, James says he has had to start from scratch in rebuilding Brewdog’s reputation, and improving his own management style.
“It’s completely fair to say at times in the journey I have been too intense, I have been too demanding, that I have set standards for the team that I would set for myself, and for a lot of the team members that is unattainable,” he says. “I did push people too far.”
