Dates have been announced for BXL Beer Fest, an event focusing on artisan beers, which is returning to Brussels for a fourth year on 27th and 28th August.

Cantillon pour

Visitors will be able to choose from more than 400 beers from breweries in Belgium, across Europe, and worldwide. Breweries confirmed include:

  • Brasserie Cantillon (Belgium)
  • Brouwerij ‘t Verzet (Belgium)
  • Brussels Beer Project (Belgium)
  • Gueuzerie Tilquin (Belgium)
  • 3Fonteinen (Belgium)
  • Land & Labour (Ireland)
  • The Kernel (UK)
  • Hop Hooligan (Romania)
  • Le Détour (France)
  • Butcher’s Tears (Netherlands)
  • Elch Brau (Germany)

These breweries will offer at least four different beersthat represent the brewery at its best. Visitors will be able to taste these beers in exchange for tokens, which get them a 15cl pour of the beer in an exclusive festival glass.

Organisers Jean Hummler, Olivier Desmet, and Kevin Desmet guarantee an event that will be interesting for everyone: the experienced beer geek, the occasional beer lover, the beer amateur, and the casual visitor or tourist.

This year the team has been strengthened by the addition of Cédric Dautinger, who, as editor in chief of the French beer website Beer.be, will assist BXL with general organisation and communication.
