Sharp’s Brewery’s Cold River Cider has retained a silver medal at the 2022 International Cider Challenge.
Cold River Cider is a collaboration between Sharp’s Brewery’s Cornish team and Aspall Cyder House’s Suffolk team. It’s a 4.5% ABV medium-dry apple cider.
It is stocked in more than 2,400 outlets, amounting to nearly 4,000 taps, with the team averaging 165 new stockists each month.
Sharp’s has a history of award-winning, creative collaborations. It has worked with producers such as Camel Valley Vineyards and Southwestern Distillery, on Camel Valley Pilsner and The Hopster Gin, respectively.
James Nicholls, marketing controller at Sharp’s, said: “In Cold River Cider, we have created something truly unique, and we’re delighted that this has been recognised by the panel at the International Cider Challenge, one of the most authoritative, respected, and influential cider competitions in the world.
“Winning a medal is an outstanding achievement and underlines our commitment to quality and innovation. This is something we are incredibly proud of.”
