Scotland’s Moonwake Beer Co is celebrating its first anniversary with the launch of its first New England IPA on Friday (3rd June).

Head brewer and director, Vinny Rosario, said: “It is exciting to be brewing a completely new beer for our birthday and to reflect our location, provenance, and Leith’s brewing history in such a modern beer style. We can’t wait to be toasting a fair few pints of New England this weekend.”

Vinny and Finlay Heslop founded Moonwake Beer Co in 2021. They started their beer careers on opposite sides of the world, Vinny in New Zealand and Fin in the UK. They have more than a decade of brewing experience.

Of the anniversary beer, the brewers say: “This New England IPA is precision brewed to reflect the super soft water we have due to our location on The Shore in Leith. This reflection of ingredients and provenance is embodied just in time for our first birthday. This juicy beer is loaded with Cascade, Citra, and Azacca hops for full-on tropical, grapefruit, and citrus flavours.”
