Our latest round-up of Jubilee beers, featuring offerings from Portobello, Brentwood, Badger, Joseph Holt, Beartown, and Camden Town.
Badger is celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee with Noble Queen (4.9% ABV). The limited edition beer is a medium-bodied extra special bitter with toasted biscuit notes. It is hopped with British varieties Sovereign and Endeavour.
Portobello and Brentwood brewing companies have collaborated on Jubilee Juice, a 4.5% ABV pale ale. It has been brewed with extra pale malt and oats, before being hopped with Bella, Azzaca, and Wai-iti. Expect tropical aromas and a subtle hint of strawberry.
Joseph Holt has used Antipodean hops to create Platinum Lager (5.2% ABV), which features refreshingly light notes of peach and passionfruit. Dry hopped and chilled for three weeks, the result is a straw-coloured beer with a clean, crisp finish, and zesty taste.
The brewer is also releasing a specially brewed draught Jubilee beer. The refreshing pale ale is bursting with tropical fruit notes and has a clean bitter finish. It will be available for a limited time at all 127 Joseph Holt pubs.
Beartown Brewery has launched Jubearlee, a celebratory pale ale, and made it available in a five-litre pouch, ideal for sharing over the holiday weekend. The pouch is embellished with a patriotic postage stamp image of The Queen.
Beartown is celebrating the brewing of its first beer on a newly-renovated site with state-of-the-art equipment. The brewery blends traditional craft with a modern style, offering everything from traditional bitter and mild to craft keg and lager.
Camden Town Brewery is celebrating the Jubilee with a limited edition beer called Liz Jolly Good Lager. The beer has been inspired by the Queen’s favourite tea, Earl Grey, and will be on tap at the Camden Beer Hall when it hosts a Jubilee party on Sunday, 5th June.
