SALT Beer Factory’s latest beer release will raise funds for the fight against plastic pollution in our oceans.

SALT Final Straw

The Final Straw, a 5% ABV tropically fruity pale ale, is a collaboration with environmental charity Seven Clean Seas.

Every single minute, a truck’s worth of plastic is dumped into the oceans, and by 2050 there will be more plastic in the oceans than fish. This beer sets out to reverse that scary statistic.

“So with every four-pack sold and every pint supped, we’ll be funding the removal of plastic from the ocean, and our goal is to aid the removal 40,000kg of plastic,” says the brewer. “Join us in our mission today and help us give ‘drinking like a fish’ a whole new meaning!”

With a light body and low bitterness, the pale is packed full of southern hemisphere hops, including Nelson Sauvin, Motueka, and Enimgma in the dry hop.

It is available in more than 500 Tesco stores nationwide and via the SALT Beer Factory website.
