Match Day Brewery and Good Karma Beer Co have unveiled Half Time Oranges, an alcohol-free beer inspired by Sunday league football.

Half Time Oranges

“It’s a refreshing, punchy combo of fruity, tropical, and citrus notes,” say the brewers. “It’s perfect for before kick-off, for a half-time breaker, or for the full-time debrief.”

Trialled with Liverpool Sunday league team Sefton Rangers, Half Time Oranges is the first collboration between Good Karma Beer Co and Match Day Brewery.

Good Karma is a brewery which is, in its own words, “consciously and holistically involved with mindful drinking, embracing only an ethos of wellness and positivity”. Match Day is a new brand trying to bring good beer closer to the beautiful game.

Charlie Hood, director at Match Day Brewery, said: “In memory of Lauren Archer — designer, collaborator, and friend of both Match Day and Good Karma — we’re donating 10% of the turnover from sales of Half Time Oranges to Mind, to help them support people struggling with mental health issues.”

Steve D Sailopal, director at Good Karma Beer Co, added: ”It can get tough out there, and there’s a lot of folk struggling quietly, which shouldn’t be the case.

“With the tragic loss of our dear friend Lauren and her silent struggles that we’d wish we had known about, we hope that this collaboration will help raise awareness about mental health. There is always hope, even when our mind tells us otherwise.”
