As part of Days’ ongoing commitment to supporting progressive mental health organisations, The Wave Project will receive 2% of all sales. This will be enough funding to train up to 1,000 new volunteer surf mentors across the UK in 2022.

Mike Gammell, co-founder of Days Brewing, saidd “Through our Days Duty commitment, we aim to drive change and support progressive mental health initiatives.

“I’ve seen the positive impact that surfing can have on mental health, so we’re all really proud to be supporting a charity that encourages people to get outdoors and connect with nature for their mental health.”

Over the past ten years, surf therapy has become an established form of support for both physical and mental health.

The Wave Project runs innovative courses that gives young people the opportunity to take part in a six-week specialised surfing course, helping to improve their mental health.

A surf club is also organised, which enables young people to access regular surfing sessions beyond their therapy, helping to continue building their skills and growing friendships.

Joe Taylor, founder of The Wave Project, said: “We are super excited to be working with Days this year and honoured to be the company’s lead charity partner in 2022. Like Days, The Wave Project is committed to helping people get the most out of their lives.

“We are grateful for Days’ kind offer of donating 2% of sales to the charity, and look forward to partnering with them on their volunteer training days.”
