Marks and Spencer is launching a guest beer own label range this month, with supplier partner, Real Drinks.
Showcasing both craft beer and collaborations, M&S has created this range to showcase the flavours they are best known for, and to champion British producers.
The range, in 440ml cans at £3 each, features three new craft beers created from two UK breweries, curated by Real Drinks.
Arbor Ales is known for quality and consistency, monitoring the beer at every stage of the brewing process. All of its beers are brewed with the intention of creating something new.
Family-owned and award-winning Brick Brewery, of London, produces consistent and great quality beer to challenge both the beer enthusiast and everyday drinker.
Richard Sharp, accounts manager at Real Drinks, said: “The purpose of this range is to showcase a true collaboration between M&S and UK craft brewing.
“A brilliant match, taking inspiration from the quality of some of M&S’s best products, with the innovation and skill of two of the best UK craft breweries. We were able to produce three modern beers, complete in uniquely M&S branded 440ml cans.”
The beers
Brick Brewery has created the Very Berry Sour (5.8% ABV), combining M&S’s deep knowledge of seasonal fruit with Brick’s love and experience for fruited sours. Fruited with hedgerow berries (raspberry, sloe, blackberry, and blackcurrant), it offers notes of blackcurrant jam and blackberry coulis.
Arbor Ales has created a Salted Caramel Stout (6% ABV), inspired by the decadence of the M&S Billionaire’s Yumnut. There is milk chocolate, biscuit, and salted caramel in the mix.
Arbor has also come up with Raspberry Royale (5.5% ABV), inspired by ever-so-moreish M&S Raspberry Royale Yumnuts. This lightly hopped fruity pale ale is brewed with tart raspberries, with a touch of sweet vanilla on the finish.
