The brewery’s session IPA, Benchmark, was named as a UK winner, new low-alcohol beer, Intuition, won a silver medal, and barrel-aged beer, Barrel Wave, was awarded bronze.
Benchmark (4.2% ABV) won its award in the IPA category, Intuition (<0.5% abv) in the low/no-alcohol category, and Barrel Wave ( 9.1% ABV) in the flavoured category. Barrel Wave is the second barrel-aged beer brewed in conjunction with sister company, Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery.
Wold Top Brewery manager, Alex Balchin, said: “It’s always a great achievement to win awards in brewing competitions that are judged by our industry peers, but even more rewarding to see new beers achieving success on a worldwide platform in their first industry-wide competition.”
