Shotover Brewery and Oxford Craft Beer Co, established in 2009, has been rebranded as Oxford Brewery.
The new era brings a fresh look and signals the brewery’s intent to spread the word and ensure that its beers reach a far wider audience.
The entire range of real ales and craft beers have been given a vibrant makeover under the new Oxford Brewery brand. Modern yet classic illustrations capture the brewery’s heritage and ambitions, with its varied and distinctive beers reflecting the wide and exciting range of available hop varieties, from English to American, Southern Hemisphere, and the increasingly exciting European strains.
The female-led brewery is producing a range of award-winning beers, both from its Classic and Modernist ranges, all vegetarian and vegan friendly, and still from a base in Horspath, a stone’s throw from the centre of Oxford.
Brewery director, Caitlin Huntley, said: “Our story began with one of our earliest creations, Scholar. This premium English ale was inspired by the legend of a wild boar, killed by an Oxford scholar walking in the forest of Shotover. As our own story continues, our new branding uses this striking image of the boar to represent the legend that started it all.”

Head brewer, Liam Cook, and brewer, Angus Wallbank, continue to perfect the beers, to ensure quality cross the entire range of award-winning cask, kegged, bottled and canned beers, in the original brewery, which is set in a 200-year-old stable on Manor Farm.
Newly appointed sales and marketing manager, Elspeth Rochford, said: “The expertise, time, and effort from our brewers has paid off to bring our range of beers into their own like never before. We are all thrilled to see everything come together in time to mark this new chapter.
“Making expertly crafted, independent beers is a celebration of our heritage, brewing, and, in many ways, an experience of Oxford itself.”
To accompany the upcoming launch, the new taproom will open its doors in 2021, showcasing the Oxford beers, alongside guest breweries, and there will also be a brewery shop.
