Part of Molson Coors Brewery, in Burton-on-Trent, dating back to 1864, has come on the market through commercial property agent Colliers International.
The site, of just over five and a half acres, comprises a red brick complex with a mix of two- and four-storey buildings. A keg fountain and a large copper kettle are among the fixtures and fittings.
The building was previously connected to the still active Molson Coors brewery site across Station Street by an overhead bridge, until the last brew took place in December 2017 and the buildings were decommissioned the following year. Two of the buildings on site are grade II listed due to their architectural or historic interest.
A spokesperson for Molson Coors said: “We are working closely with the local authority and Colliers to ensure the right investment is secured to turn this historic site into a quality residential-led development.
“It is incredibly important to us that this site, which is an important part of our and Burton’s heritage, is developed in an appropriately sympathetic way and adds real value to our local community in Burton.”
