Marks & Spencer is to list a new beer from Denmark’s To Øl brewery, a gose named To Øl Gose to Hollywood.

This is the Danish brewer’s first UK listing with such a high-profile retailer.

The summer drink is said to be an accessible gateway beer for those entering into the world of craft. It has had a re-vamp, courtesy of the new To Øl City brewery, giving a more defined orange accent, while maintaining the crisp and refreshing peppery back notes of the classic gose style.

To Øl, which translates as ‘Two Beers’, initially came about as a student brewing project back in 2005, after Tore Gynther and Tobias Emil Jensen had a discussion on the merits of big brewers (or the lack of) with their college teacher — a certain Mikkel Borg Bjergsø.  Mikkel the teacher famously went on to set up Mikkeller and the students soon followed in his footsteps, founding To Øl in 2010.
