Salcombe beer and pie

Salcombe Brewery has extended its doorstop beer delivery initiative to include fresh produce from across Devon.

The free service goes directly to the door of consumers across all TQ postcodes, and specified PL and EX postcodes. Details can be found on the brewery website.

In addition to ordering Salcombe Brewery’s Seahorse bag-in-box draught beer and bottles of its award-winning range, customers can also place an order for various Warcombe Produce Devon potatoes, Passion for Pies, and Sharpham Cheese.

Already a successful partnership, Passion for Pies have recently been crowned beef and ale pie champion at the 2020 British Pie Awards, made with Salcombe Brewery”s Rip Tide Ale.

Salcombe Brewery assures customers that the order, payment, and delivery arrangements are in accordance with government’s advice to avoid non-essential person-to-person contact.

It is still possible to place beer and cider orders from further afield, using the online shop, which already delivers bottled beers and cider to consumers nationwide. And, in accordance with the government’s definition of ‘essential shops’, the brewery shop will remain open.

Salcombe Brewery owner, John Tiner, said: “We all face a few tough months ahead as we remain at home self-distancing, in line with government advice.

“As an independent brewery that works with pubs, bars, and restaurants, we believe it’s our duty to do our part and ensure there’s plenty of food and drink to go round our community. That’s why we’re offering this service free from any delivery charges.

“We will all need a few treats to keep us going, and what better way to lift the spirits than enjoying a bottle of your favourite Salcombe ale or a nine-pint box of Seahorse draught beer, together with a warm pie, local chips or potatoes, and followed by a delicious local brie?”
