Two Tribes Brewing is celebrating after winning at the Society of Independent Brewers’ (SIBA) Business Awards. Its beer Blitzed took the award for best individual design.
Neil Walker, SIBA’s Business Awards chair, said: “The striking design of this beer was an instant hit with the judges. They particularly liked how the descriptive detail integrated perfectly within the modern graphic design.”
Known for its strong visual identity and collectable can designs, Two Tribes aims to elevate beer art to another level with its striking visuals and modern take on packaging, not to mention its era-defining beers.
Two Tribes’ Justin Deighton said: “The can designs are really important to me as they’re all done in-house by myself and Leo Zero (an ex-music colleague). Our backgrounds mean we have authentic links with beer, music, and art, so winning this award from independent brewers and industry insiders feels particularly special.”
In the same week, Two Tribes received its Time Out Recommends badge, now proudly displayed at the King’s Cross taproom. Only London venues considered by Time Out editors to be the best of their kind — receiving four- or five-star reviews — are handed the accolade.
Last year, Time Out’s drinks editor said: “If anything symbolises the rising star that is King’s Cross, it’s this buzzy beer bar, with an atmosphere of its own, in the middle of nowhere. Seek out those suds.”
Beer lovers wanting to sample a selection of new craft beers and have a behind-the-scenes look at the taproom can now book a Two Tribes Brewery Tour. Running every Saturday at 3pm, £12.50 gets you a tour of the brewery, free tastings, and take-outs.
