Drinkers are being given the opportunity to win a beach hut complete with bar, in a competition run by Shepherd Neame’s Whitstable Bay brand.

It’s the prize in a major summer draw — enter online at bit.ly/winabeachhutbar before August 31.

A second beach hut bar will be touring the South East during July and August, visiting pubs, hotels and events, including the Whitstable Oyster Festival, which Whitstable Bay is sponsoring as official brewery partner.

Pubs stocking Whitstable Bay will receive a free promotional kit to encourage customers to get involved. It contains branded sunglasses, a t-shirt, bunting, postcards, table talkers, posters and drip mats. It also features fold-out maps showing the best places to enjoy Whitstable Bay around Kent.

 

Summer of activities

 

The beach hut bar competition is part of a summer of activities planned to promote Whitstable Bay, the popular collection of beers from the Faversham Steam Brewery in Kent.

Available nationwide, the collection currently comprises Whitstable Bay Blonde Lager, Whitstable Bay Pale Ale, Whitstable Bay Organic Ale, Whitstable Bay Black Oyster Stout and Whitstable Red IPA.

Whitstable Bay has also teamed up with tourism organisation Visit Kent to feature in its award-winning Kent Contemporary advertising campaign, promoting Kent across London. An image of a bottle of Whitstable Bay Pale with some of Whitstable’s colourful beach huts behind it is being displayed across London underground and overground stations and on a host of digital channels until September.
