Padstow Brewing Co launches the first two brews in its canned craft beer range today, created by new young brewer, George Collins (pictured below).

The 440ml cans are: Tentacular Spectacular, a 7.4% ABV double IPA, infused with blood oranges; and Loading Bay IPA (6.3% ABV), a double-dry-hopped brew showcasing New Zealand hops.

Padstow George CollinsBoth beers exhibit juicy tropical aromas and flavours, and will be available in strictly limited quantities.

Caron Archer, head brewer, who owns the company with husband, Des, said the craft cans are an opportunity to showcase new talent.

““Our new brewer George is so passionate about craft beer and very creative — we were confident to give him this project. And he’s done a fantastic job with it, superb beers and vibrant new artwork.”

The cans feature artwork designed by a Sophie Bennett, a university student in Falmouth. Caron added: “It’s great to be able to help local art students display their work in a real world context. Falmouth University have been so impressed with the project that they are now looking to add it to the student curriculum.”

Tentacular Spectacular was brewed in collaboration with G Brewery, from Gloucester, which will be selling the beer to its customers, too.
