Throughout May and June, publicans can order Summer Ale (4.8% ABV), an American wheat beer with an inviting light golden colour and crisp malt flavour.
A lively brew, it’s a clean, cool and refreshing light-bodied ale, worthy of a relaxing afternoon in the sun. This brew is an ode to summer in Maine. In the States, many people serve this beer with a lime wedge.
Summer Ale was first brewed in Maine in June 1995. It uses British pale ale and Munich malt and wheat, combined with a top-fermenting yeast and Saphir and Willamette hops.
