A venue in Farringdon, London, will become the latest Draft House when it opens this Friday (November 30) on Charterhouse Street.
With doors open at noon, it will aim to serve the best in craft beer and awesome pub food, as well as offering genuine warm hospitality.
The pub has undergone major refurbishment, including a cool underground beer hall with four exposed brickwork caves — perfect for hosting large groups. The basement has a capacity of 200 and is available for exclusive hire, with a late licence. To make a booking visit drafthouse.co.uk.
As in all Draft House pubs, there will be a big focus on beer. Draught beers will include a selection of 15 keg beers and three cask ales, with the opening line-up featuring the likes of The Kernel, Brew by Numbers, Wiper &True, Siren, and Stone & Wood, along with Hawkes cider, from just down the road in Bermondsey.
Growlers and tasting paddles
Growlers are available to take draught beer away, with a third discount off the drink-in price. From Monday to Wednesday, a tasting paddle of any three third pints of beers will be available for £5, to encourage experimentation and discovery. All bottles and cans are available to take away with a third off full retail price.
The menu will feature a selection of beer food, traditional pub dishes — including pies, sausage and mash, and fish and chips — and a range of burgers, including vegan and vegetarian options. Each week there will be a Burger Monday, with all burgers half price all day. On Wednesdays, wing platters are two-for-one all day.
David McDowall, retail managing director at the Draft House, said: “We’re so excited to be bringing Draft House to Farringdon and inviting the local community to enjoy a warm welcome, our carefully curated range of craft beer, and some awesome pub food.
“We are proud to pay our awesome team the real London living wage — they are the beating heart of our business and we urge as many other operators as possible to follow suit.”
