Badger Beer is relaunching its Pickled Partridge rich winter ale in time for Christmas, with a new brand design incorporating the new Badger logo, which was introduced in the summer.

The 4.6% ABV beer uses crystal and chocolate malt for a fuller flavour, balanced by the generous fruity and citrus notes of First Gold and Celeia hops, to give a roasted malt and hoppy aftertaste.

Badger Pickled PartridgeThe beer is available as a seasonal cask ale in select Hall & Woodhouse pubs across the south of England, from now until the new year.

Sarah Pace, brand manager for Badger Beer, said: “The Pickled Partridge story tells us that, suspecting his fate as the centre piece of the Sunday roast, our cunning Partridge escaped his captor with a snappy peck.

“Pickled Partridge has been our winter seasonal beer for over ten years now and is a firm favourite to give you that perfect reason to go to the pub.

“We are really pleased with our new pumpclip design, designed by Brand Opus, which we believe will resonate more strongly with our guests. Its new dark background adds to its premium credentials and contrasts well with our new rustic-looking partridge.”

Toby Heasman, head brewer at Badger Beer, added: “The crystal and chocolate malt gives a rich malty beer, and at 4.6% ABV it is the ideal pint to have with food or sat by the log fire in your local.

“The malty notes combine well with the fruity hop from Celeia and First Gold, making it a great complement with a Sunday roast or a steak pie.”
