Multi-site operator Thornbridge & Co has announced positive trading figures for the first quarter of 2024 and year-end results for 23/24.

The company, a joint venture between Thornbridge Brewery and Pivovar, reported an 18% increase in sales across its bars in York, Birmingham, and Leeds over the first quarter of the year, against -11% across the wider industry. This meant 2023/24 ended 16% up on the previous year, again bucking industry trends.

Director Jamie Hawksworth described the results as phenomenal, reflecting the hard work of the operations team and brewery.

“These numbers are incredible when compared against the industry norm,” he said. “We have a fantastic offer in the pubs and wonderful staff carrying it out to the highest standard.”

Fellow director, Simon Webster, added: “We have secured a new site in the heart of Sheffield city centre and are expecting to commence legals on a high-profile location in the North this summer.

He said the company was also in final stages of negotiations for a site in London.
