Greene King has collaborated with London brewery Wolfpack on Sesh IPA (3.8% ABV), a new seasonal cask beer for May.

The golden ale has the perfect balance of flavours and aromas that capture the essence of those warm summer evenings to come, say the brewers. It will be available into June.

The use of rye and crystal malts reveal toffee and spice flavours, while the addition of pale and carapils malts add sweetness and body.

Wolfpack Brewery, which has a distribution relationship with Greene King, was co-founded by international rugby players on a mission to create craft beer for ‘social animals’.

“We understand that guests are wanting those lighter cask styles in colour and flavour as the weather starts to improve, and we wanted to offer something new and eye-catching for guests to try with Wolfpack Sesh IPA,” said Greene King head brewer, Jack Palmer.

Alistair Hargreaves, co-founder of Wolfpack, added: “We have been working with Greene King for a number of years, and it’s brilliant to be able to create a bespoke cask beer that forms part of a wider limited-edition collection.

“Our Sesh IPA is a truly refreshing golden beer and ideal as we head into summer, with sporting occasions drawing in consumers looking to enjoy a lighter, sessionable pint with their pack members.”

Wolfpack Sesh IPA forms part of the wider Fresh Cask Releases calendar from Greene King, a portfolio of 13 limited-edition cask beers available at specific times throughout the year.
