Barnet Brewery
In 2013, the transformation of the Black Horse pub in Barnet saw lots of refurbishment to the venue with the addition of brewery yard, housing plant purchased from Iceni Brewery in Norfolk. The plan is to brew specials aimed at the “traditional session market” and also to age beers in old port casks. Ingredients are being sourced through a Norfolk co-operative.

Blue Anchor

Established in 1882, Brains still retains links to its original founding family. The beers are supplied to pubs all over Wales, including 270 in Brains’ own estate. Brains sponsors Welsh rugby union and is the official beer of the Football Association of Wales and Glamorgan Cricket Club. As well as the main brewery, there is a popular craft operation.

Brampton Brewery
There was an older Brampton Brewery in Chesterfield in the 19th and 20th centuries (and there’s an excellent historical piece about it here), but this incarnation came about in 2007 when a group of real ale enthusiasts, led by head brewer, Chris Radford, decided to have a go at a brewing business. Awards have been forthcoming for the beers, which are available in cask, bottle and various take-home packs.

Broughton Ales

Burton Bridge Brewery

Butcombe Brewery
The brewery was founded in 1978 and is also a pub operator, with 19 managed houses. The company prides itself on its traditional, classic pubs, prize winning beers, as well as Ashton Press ciders from its wholly owned subsidiary, the Long Ashton Cider Company.
