Harness Your Hops (6% ABV, can)
Hazy golden with a white head, there are big tropical fruit notes on the aroma. On the palate, huge hop notes — pineapple, passionfruit, lemon — with pine, against a light biscuit malt background. Good bitterness on the end. Enjoyable and very refreshing.

Midnight Stack (4.2% ABV, can)
Billed as a pancake milk stout, this pours black with a red tinge, where the light comes through, and a tan head. Definitely maple syrup on the aroma, along with roast malt. On the palate, well, yes: pancake with ample syrup. Lactose, too, milk chocolate, and an edge of spice, along with a hint of smokiness. It’s interesting and good, but it’s one of those I couldn’t drink too much of.

Nitro Stout (4.6% ABV) Collaboration with M&S
Black, with just the merest hint of ruby red visible when held to the light, this has a lovely roast aroma with notes of coffee and a very slight smokiness. There’s chocolate — not your dairy milk, but a proper 70% plain, although there is just a hint of vanilla. Coffee comes through well on the finish, rounding off a great experience. It’s jolly good, there’s a great body, and, thanks to oats in the recipe, it’s nice and smooth. Highly recommended.

One Through Three (6% ABV, can) Collaboration with North Brewing and Salt Beer Factory
Pouring a slightly hazy gold, with a white head that stays well, there’s a hit of mango and lemon citrus on the aroma. It’s big ’n’ juicy on the palate, with mango, grapefruit, some peach, and passionfruit, too, against a light biscuit malt base. Good balance, and a nice bitter, fruity note on the finish. Not at all heavy for its ABV, this is a good refresher. The flavours have a lovely delicacy about them.
