After Dusk (4.5% ABV, can)
Almost totally black, with the faintest tinge of red when held up to the light, this take on a Bohemian black lager holds on to its head fairly well. There’s a spiciness on the plate that isn’t drowned out by the dark malts giving the colour, and slowly dark berry fruit flavours emerge. There are Saaz hops used and these cut through nicely with their trademark fresh bitterness. This is a job well done. A modern brewer nailing a classic style. The brewery is supporting Manchester’s indpendent music venues. There’s a QR code on the can to find out more.
