Loud Shirt Brewing

El Dorado (5.5% ABV, can)
Light amber with an off-white head, there’s a big hit of citrus fruit on the nose of this American pale ale. On the palate, there’s that citrus, tropical fruit, and a hint of pie, but the malt balance is good and full. Really like this!

EXP Cherry Spiced Ruby Ale (6.6% ABV, can)
Dark ruby with a beige head. I get a cola aroma. On the palate, there’s, as one might expect, a spicy cherry note. Not for me.

Hazed & Confused (4.5% ABV, can)
Hazy — very hazy — yellow, with a white head, it looks very inviting. I’m getting tangerine and pineapple on the nose. Fruit really comes through on the palate, with stonefruit prominent. But there’s decent malt balance and a very smooth body. Very drinkable and moreish.

Loud Shirt Hazed Confused

Like Clockwork (4.3% ABV, can)
Rich gold with a white head that dissipates quite quickly, this offers a floral aroma with a hint of lemon citrus. There’s good bready malt on the palate, with lemon cutting through. A decent, well-balanced pale ale.

NEIPA Exp 11 (6.2% ABV, can)
Slightly hazy golden, there’s a tropical aroma struggling to get through the thick white head. On the palate, it’s very tropical — mango, kiwi, and some stonefruit, too. I think I’d like a bit more malt profile, but it’s a solid, juicy NEIPA.

Loud Shirt NEIPA Exp 11

NEIPA Exp 12 (5% ABV, can)
A hazy sandy colour with a white head that lingers well, tropical citrus notes burst through on the aroma. On the palate, those tropical notes — kiwi, pineapple — are there, joined by hints of berry and stonefruit. There’s a decent malt balance to stop all that fruit running away with the how. A very decent brew!

Loud Shirt NEIPA Exp 12

NEIPA Exp 13 (5.8% ABV, can)
Hazy gold with a foaming white head, this has a vibrant fruity, sharp aroma. On the palate, it’s very fruity, with pineapple, lemon, and orange notes. Good biscuit malt balance and a full mouthfeel. Nicely done.

Waiting Game (4.6% ABV, can)
A lagered kolsch, golden with a white head that dissipates very quickly. Not too much aroma, but it’s herbal and spicy. On the palate, it’s refreshing and full-bodied, with light malt and an edge of lemon pith. Not enormously exciting to me.
