Khyber (5.8% ABV, cask)
A bit of dry hop on the front would be good, but nonetheless, this is a little cracker of an IPA. As it is, that aroma’s quite malty. On that palate, though, big flavours and good balance. Against solid malt background there are resinous hops, lemon peel and orange citrus notes, and a nice sulphurous bitter edge, with herbal and spicy flavours, too. Well received in our local.
