Kicking Goat

Medium Craft Cider (Kent) (4.4% ABV, bottle)
Pretty much the only cider I ever drink is Skreach, from West Cornwall. It’s hazy, golden/amber, and still. This cider β€” one of a number sent to me by Kicking Goat β€” is very different. Much lighter in colour, sparkling, effervescent. It’s lovely. Refreshing, thirst-quenching, appley in a light way. Not too sweet, with a slight note of tannins from the skins. It’s nothing like the Skreach, which can easily lead to one losing the use of one’s legs. It’s for social occasions, I’d say, and it would do well with food β€” picnic food. I’m writing around the fact that, unlike beer, I know very little about describing cider. But I enjoyed it and would try it again, probably with food and people, and not necessarily my normal beer-drinking gang. I was sent medium and dry variations of Kent and Somerset ciders, and both were great. There was a berry variant, too, which Mrs N enjoyed.
