Thomas Hardy’s Ale 2024 (11.3% ABV, bottle)
A classic makes its annual appearance, this time brewed at Hepworth Brewery by veteran brewer Derek Prentice. There’s an aroma of booze-soaked dried fruit and orange pith on this barley wine. On the palate it’s fruity, rich, and warming, with a great body. There are flavours of Demerara sugar, a hint of apricot as well as that dried fruit, and honey.
