Butty Bach (4.5% ABV, bottle)
Polised deep gold, with a slightly off-white head that laces well, this classic brew is so well balanced. Rich biscuit malt supports herbal, slightly spicy hops, with a hint of berries. Very refreshing, great taste, and easy drinking.

Fandango (4.8% ABV, can)
Golden, with a white head that stays well, this has tropical, slightly citrus fruit notes on the nose. On the palate, there’s lemon, hints of pineapple, and some sherbet, with light malt supporting. Nice bitterness to this well-crafted session pale. Beautifully refreshing.

Hopfather (3.9% ABV, bottle)
A fruity, grainy aroma from this effervescent golden brew. Well balanced on the palate, it offers grainy malt against a zingy grapefruit taste. With a crisp, slightly dry finish, this is a delightful session brew.

HPA (4% ABV, bottle)
Polished golden, with a white head. There’s not a strong aroma, but some lemon citrus does come through. On the palate, it’s beautifully balanced and so very, very drinkable. A beautiful biscuit male profile supports English hops (Target and Celeia), which offer citrus notes and a hint of spiciness. It’s a classic session bitter β very moreish!
Nightjar (4.2% ABV, can)
An excellent example of a stout in the early-4% ABV market, this is easily as enjoyable as popular better-known brands. Black as night, it has a creamy light tan-coloured head. On the palate, chocolate comes through first, then some coffee, with a deep roast malt background. On the nose, I get more coffee than chocolate. It’s, smooth, creamy, and very satisfying.

Shindig (5.1% ABV)
Slightly hazy golden with a good white head, this offers blackcurrant notes on the nose. Citrus β orange and lemon β join the party on the palate, with excellent light malt balance. A refreshing, well-made session pale that one would expect from Wye Valley. Gently bitterness on the finish,. Nicely moreish!
