Bitter (4.2% ABV, bottle)
Hazy amber, this pours with very little head. The aroma’s quite inviting, mostly bready malt. Sweet malt dominates the palate, with some zingy hops crashing in. Quite a light taste, easy drinking. What will traditional bitter drinkers think of that haze, though?

Lager (4.5% ABV, bottle)
Golden, with a white head that fades fast, this has a herbal, spicy aroma. Quite a lemon citrus zing on the palate, with some balancing biscuity malt. There’s almost a sourness, it’s so singy. Quite refreshing — it would drink well on a summer day.

Pale (4,5% ABV, bottle)
Hzy gold/amber with a slightly off-white head that stays fairly well. I don’t get a huge amount aroma wise, but some citrus and tropical fruit notes come through. On the palate, it’s well balanced, with decent malt against zigy hop.

Porter (4% ABV, bottle)
Black with a cream coloured head which fades quickly, this has an aroma of rum ‘n’ raisin ice cream, chocolate, and coffee. The palate’s a bit thin. There’s quite a hit of dark berry fruit coming through against a malt base that stays chocolatey. Quite rich. Decent enough, but that thinness marks it down for me.

Session IPA (3.8% ABV, bottle)
Hazy light amber with a white head, there are vibrant orange and lemon notes on the nose. The fruit gets more tropical on the palate, with some good malt balance. There’s a nice bitter finish to send one bak for more. Enjoyed this!
