Crush Hour (4.6% ABV, can)
Very pale, like a real lemonade, this offers a fresh citrus aroma — lemon, with a hint of lime. It’s packed with citrus, refreshing, and easy drinking — too easy drinking! Very light and slightly floral, it’s an ideal summer thirst-quencher.
Heart and Soul (4.4% ABV, can)
Hazy gold with a white head, it has a big, fresh, fruity, slightly dank nose. On the palate, there’s a nice balance of orange, passionfruit, and grapefruit notes. It slips down easily and it’s wonderfully refreshing. A modern classic for good reason. It worked well with my home-made chicken curry!

Hop, Skip and Juice (5.7% ABV, can)
Hazy gold, with a white head that lingers very well, this is a juicy banger of a modern IPA. Stone and tropical fruit on the nose. On the palate, there’s almost a lactose smoothness to the good body. Fruity, but not overpoweringly so, with a decent malt balance. And very easy drinking for its ABV. Very enjoyable.

Incognito (7.2% ABV, can)
Hazy gold with a white head that stays well, this looks and smells very inviting. There’s a tropical – but not hugely so – and slightly piney aroma. It’s always a pleasure to find a hop bomb with a decent malt profile, and that’s the case here. It’s beautifully presented and a very fine DIPA indeed. Great body, and a nice touch of bitterness on the finish.

Naughty and Nice (6.6% ABV, can)
A beautifully polished golden white stout, with a white head. On the nose, the raspberries are very bold, with a suggestion of white chocolate in the background. On the palate, a light stout malt base is lifted by those striking raspberry notes. It’s very clever and very well done.

Peach Cooler Shaker (6.8% ABV, can)
Ooh, this is an absolute delight! A beautifully balanced milkshake IPA with that tell-tale-lactose note on the nose, alongside some citrus fruit. On the palate, it’s wonderful — smooth and easy drinking. Lactose aids the balance, and citrus and tropical fruits burst out. Shame there’s only one can!

Sweet Temptation (6.6% ABV, can, collaboration with Brew York)
Black as night, this fair effervesces out of the can , pouring with one of the darkest heads I’ve seen — a very dark tan — that disippates very quickly. On the nose, it’s chocolate, big time, backed up with rich caramel. Still quite fizzy in terms of mouthfeel, but it does eventually calm down to more of an elegant sweetness. It’s a well named beer. Something for the sweet toothed. The chocolate and caramel flavours a very captivating, but it’s a shame about that startling fizziness.
