Siren Craft Brew

Midnight Stack (4.2% ABV, can)
Billed as a pancake milk stout, this pours black with a red tinge, where the light comes through, and a tan head. Definitely maple syrup on the aroma, along ith roast malt. On the palate, well, yes: pancake with ample syrup. Lactose, too, milk chocolate, and an edge of spice, along with a hint of smokiness. It’s interesting and good, but it’s one of those I couldn’t drink too much of.
Buy it: I bought mine in Sainsbury’s.

Siren Midnight Stack

One Through Three (6% ABV, can) Collaboration with North Brewing and Salt Beer Factory
Pouring a slightly hazy gold, with a white head that stays well, there’s a hit of mango and lemon citrus on the aroma. It’s big ’n’ juicy on the palate, with mango, grapefruit, some peach, and passionfruit, too, against a light biscuit malt base. Good balance, and a nice bitter, fruity note on the finish. Not at all heavy for its ABV, this is a good refresher. The flavours have a lovely delicacy about them.
Buy it: I bought mine in Morrisons, who have a new range of craft cans.
