Donner & Blitzed (5.4% ABV, bottle)
Deep red with a tan head that stays well, this is a rich, staisfying, complex, yet comforting beer. There’s malt and Christmas cake fruit on the aroma, in fact, Christmas cake in a glass is probably the best description of the brew. There’s a rich, booze-soaked cake flavour, while the fruit — dried and candied — and the spices are all there, too. The overall balance is lovely.
