Forest Road Brewing Co

Deft (4.7% ABV, can)
Very dark, almost black, with a foaming cream head that stays well. There’s burnt roast malt on the aroma, with a hint of dark chocolate. On the palate, it’s a smooth sip, with notes of burnt toffee, treacle, bitter chocolate, and some coffee, as well as slightly smokey and nutty notes.
Buy it: I was sent mine by the brewer. It’s available to buy on the brewery website.

Juno IPA (6.3% ABV, can)
Hazy gold with a white head, this has a sulphury, resinous nose. On the palate, flavours of grapefruit, pine, resin, grass, and lemon pith. Gentle bitterness to finish.

Forest Road Juno

Posh Lager (4.1% ABV, can)
Slightly hazy golden, with a white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is quite herbal and spicy. On the palate there’s a ice Helles style flavour, although I found it a little thin.

Forest Road Posh Lager

Work IPA (5.3% ABV, can)
Hazy gold with a white head that stays well, there’s a classic IPA orange marmalade nose, plus that little sulpery note that I found in the Posh Lager. On the palate, Enligh IPA notes of bittersweet marmalade with a spicy edge.
