Cheddar Ales

Festive Totty (4.5% ABV, bottle)
Very dark, with the faintest tinge of red and a thick, foaming tan head. Roast malt on the nose, with a suggestion of dark fruit, presumably from the port that’s been added. It looks really inviting! The port really comes through on the palate, making this a real winter warmer with a sense of occasion. There’s roast malt, too, burnt caramel, even an edge of smokiness and espresso coffee, all contributing to a rich feeling of warmth and comfort. Tastes stronger than its 4.5%. A beguiling brew!
