Milk Stout (4.6% ABV, bottle)
Black as night, with a thick, foaming, tan head. There’s a hint of lactose on the aroma, but also some tartness. On the palate, it’s smooth and milk chocolatey, with a lovely mouthfeel. Plenty of that lactose flavour coming through. Hints of berry fruit and some espresso coffee, but the main charcateristic is smooth milk chocolate smoothness. Comforting on a chilly autumnal evening.
Buy it: I bought mine in a local Co-Op. It’s available on the brewery website.
