IPA (5.6% ABV, bottle)
Rich amber in colour with a white head, there’s an aroma of spicy, earthy hops and bready malt. It’s a well balanced IPA, with hints of orange pith, caramel, and hint of dried fruit. Good bitterness on the finish. Nice traditional English-style IPA.

Pale Ale (4.4% ABV, bottle)
Deep polished gold, with a slightly off-white head that dies down quickly, this has bready malt on the aroma, with some spicy, earthy hop notes, and a hint of orange. More of that fruitiness comes through on the palate, perhaps a hint of berry, too, and some pepperiness. This is not like a modern pale ale. It has excellent balance and a full malt body that doesn’t disappoint. A good revival! Read the Allsopp’s story here.
