Old Master Hen (7% ABV, bottle)
Lovely red colour with a cream head that dies down quite quickly. It get red apple skins and caramel on the aroma with, curiously enough, a hint of banana. On the palate, it’s full, rich, warming, and boozy. There are those red apple skin notes and toffee – the sort of toffee that your gran used to attack with a hammer. It’s a fairly sweet beer, but there is a gentle bitterness that drifts in at the end. Went down well with this old school drinker!
