Norfolk-based Woodforde’s will be opening its gates to the public for its annual Christmas market on Saturday and Sunday, December 2 and 3.
Visitors will be able to learn about the Woodforde’s beers, attend guided brewery tours, and sample the range, including festive brew Tinsel Toes. Shoppers will also be able to purchase food, drink and gifts from other local artisan producers.
The free annual event provides visitors with the chance to buy festive gifts such as Woodforde’s hampers and Nog-infused Christmas puddings, as well as the region’s finest produce, from cured meats to wines, chutneys to cheeses, and a variety of other foods.
Local carol-singing choirs will add to the festive mood while visitors enjoy Woodforde’s brewery tap, The Fur and Feather, which will be serving Archers award-winning sausages and Woodforde’s and Walsingham Pies, along with other customer favourites.
The event will support the brewery’s nominated charity, Nelson’s Journey, which is dedicated to supporting bereaved children and young people throughout Norfolk. Representatives from the charity will have a fund-raising stall at the market.
Woodforde’s chief executive, James Hughes, said: “Last year, over 4,000 people visited our Christmas Market weekend, and we anticipate even greater numbers this time round. The event is seen as a ‘one-stop shop’ for Christmas supplies and showcases some of our region’s finest products.”
