Wishbone Brewery has launched a crowdfunding campaign to open a taproom in its home town of Keighley.

Director and head brewer, Adrian Chapman, said: “We realise our town has an illustrious history around beer, Timothy Taylor’s heading the charge with a firm grasp on tradition, Goose Eye Brewery being Keighley’s longest running microbrewery, and Bridgehouse with their excellent pub, the Airedale Heifer.

“We think it’s our time to add a beer destination to Keighley, and we want to create a Wishbone Taproom to showcase our beers, and will champion breweries and beer that you don’t find in restrictively tied pubs, or Wetherspoon etc.

“Our Taproom will create jobs and help make our town a destination for good beer. We believe the right venues focused on selling good, independently brewed beers will lift the town. You can go out in Keighley and get some exceptional Indian and Italian food. We want to add to that with a range of beers fitting the standards of that food.”

The crowdfunding campaign has a £25,000 target and is running for eight weeks. Find out more on crowdfunder.co.uk
