Beer writer Des de Moor has teamed up with Fuller’s and one of its top contemporary bottle shops and bars to help expand the beer knowledge of discerning drinkers living in or visiting London.

Starting on Wednesday, June 20, Des is offering a brewery visit and beer tasting at Fuller’s, with a picturesque short evening walk along the river Thames, a pint in one of the capital’s prettiest pubs, and an exploration of local brewing and distilling heritage. The tour will be repeated once a month over the summer and can be booked online at https://fulle.rs/RiverTour

Des is also working with the Bottle Shop, Bermondsey, in the heart of London’s craft beer quarter, to host the Bottle Shop Beer School on the second Monday of every month.

This series of tutored tastings — a great way to learn about beer in a relaxed and informal setting — kicks off on Monday, June 11, with a Beer Basics evening covering ingredients, how beer is brewed and what distinguishes it from other drinks. Future evenings will cover the marvels of malt, heavenly hops, beauty and the yeast, plus a session on wild and mixed fermentations. More information at The Bottle Shop
