Wadworth seasonal ales

Jug o’ Malt, in March, will be the first of a new range of seasonal ales from Wadworth in 2020.

It’s a rich, malty mild, with coffee, toffee, and caramel flavours. Following in May will be Amarillo Gold, using single hop Amarillo to create a floral and citrus aroma.

For the many sporting events scheduled in 2020, including the Euros, Wadworth has created a new beer, Jolly Good Sport, which celebrates the many British teams doing so well in various sports. The 3.3% ABV ale is crisp and clean, and designed as a great session beer.

Bitter Sweet will feature from September, a deep red bitter brewed using elderberries, with bitterness coming from British and American hops.

Following this, November will see Coconut Shire at 5.1% ABV.  This rich and mellow English porter has dark fruits combined with the mellow aroma of coconuts, giving the beer a distinctive flavour.

Wadworth commercial director, Jonathan Thomas, said: “These new seasonal beers have a totally new look and some fantastic new flavour combinations.

“We know cask ale drinkers have their favourite ales, but they also like to try new ones, so these innovative beers have created something new for everyone, whether they’ve always drank cask ale or are just starting on that journey.”

Wadworth will also be re-brewing its new Christmas ales, A Winter’s Tail and Your Good Elf, this year.
