Woodforde’s Brewery has announced that Volt, its India pale ale, is joining its core range of beers, and will be available all year round.
Volt (4.5% ABV) is a refreshing IPA packed with the best American hops, offering citrus, floral and pine scents. With a fruity and hoppy taste, it’s one of the brewery’s most aromatic beers to date.
It made its debut at this year’s Royal Norfolk Show, where it was well received. Originally brewed as a summer seasonal beer, Woodforde’s witnessed phenomenal demand from publicans and re-released the beer for Hallowe’en a few weeks ago. Once again, there was incredible feedback.
Woodforde’s head of marketing, Judi-mae Alderton, said: “To get such amazing feedback from a new beer is remarkable. The demand for Volt was there right from the get-go, based on the tasting notes and clip design.
“Since it flew out so fast, it was an obvious idea for us to bring the beer back for Hallowe’en, but when we had the same response all over again, we had to make a serious decision on this one.
“When it came down to it, we knew it was the right move to make Volt available permanently. It is a delightfully zingy beer!”
